The Problem with "Genuine" Experience
The new Living Laboratory plan notes that:
The University therefore strives to achieve the concept of the “living laboratory” among faculty members so that they can teach the students from a position of knowledge based on genuine experience that simultaneously serves as a model for students to aspire toward.
So what is "genuine" experience? Is it different than "non-genuine" experience?
Genuine is a substitute for “lived” experience and this is more Critical Theory mischief to dismiss objective truth and reality.
We cannot elevate genuine or lived experience above scientific evidence or revelation.
This term gives a hiring/promotion committee an opportunity to subjectively discriminate against individuals.
It should be removed altogether from the plan.
